We continually endeavour to provide a challenging and inclusive learning environment for all students. Our teachers are highly skilled professionals who understand that instruction has many facets and strive for excellence in their understanding of content, instructional strategies, instructional skills and classroom management.

At Halidon Primary School we know that the reason we are all here is to ensure that our students achieve personal success, whether in academic or non-academic pursuits. We believe that an explicit focus on effective teaching and social and emotional well being will create the conditions necessary for our students to achieve their potential. Therefore, classroom practice exemplifies our beliefs about teaching and learning. At Halidon, we put students first.

Within its staff allocation the school has a number of specialist positions including languages – Japanese, Physical Education, Music and Visual Arts.
