Social & Emotional Learning
Social and Emotional Learning is achieved at Halidon Primary School through the implementation of a variety of programs including Friendly Schools Plus, Protective Behaviours, the Chaplaincy service and many others. These school wide programs enable us to encourage a collective effort to optimise the social, emotional, and academic outcomes of all of our students.
Our school strives to foster respect and sensitivity in providing a challenging and inclusive learning environment. Teachers are supported in negotiating learning outcomes and plans regularly, building on individual and group needs and strengths. Our approach to inclusivity at HPS extends beyond our students to encompass our teachers and community.
